This week, Episode 25,  Creatures of Small, and as a small creature themselves, host, River Wilde,  can attest to the fabulousness of such a small size. Today's tales involve a bunch of small things, from beetles to little men, though all have some pretty big personalities, or one might say, egos. Nothing wrong with that; confidence. It’s when confidence bleeds onto others, and separates you from others, does it become a problem. Our heroes in these tales definitely could use a lesson in humble pie. Okay, is anyone else thinking about pie now?

What was our Gender Blender tale this week? Stay tuned to  the end, for reveal!

River Reads is not a kids show but not not a kids show. Listener discretion advised.

River Reads won 2023 Best Podcast in the Small Market category at Broadcast Dialogue's Canadian Radio Awards.

River Reads is a program where those of all ages can escape into fairy tales and strange stories; both new and old, but mostly old and at times macabre, or silly, or even perhaps a little confusing as written in old english and the host fumbles words, and then there’s those stories whose premises have perhaps not aged as well over the years. Let’s face it you can’t be too picky when you’re dependent upon material available to you through creative commons.

This episode's fairy tales are:
