On September 21st the writ official dropped for the BC Provincial election, which cold see a new government elected on October 19th, as the Conservative and NDP are neck and neck in the latest polls.
Across the northwest, candidates have been hitting the pavement, door knocking and erecting campaign sighs during the first weekend as the official campaign gets underway.
After speaking with constituency in the ridings of North Coast-Haida Gwaii, Skeena, and Stikine, it’s clear that the cost of living, the state of healthcare and wildfire impacts are front of mind for many in this election.
Today we start our election coverage and will bring you more candidate interviews over the coming weeks as British Columbians prepare to head to the polls on October 19th.
