Program:

Libraries are for Everyone

We're taking a detour today, thinks to another book. Libraries and Homelessness: an action guide by Julie Ann Winkelstein was on display at the Smithers Public Library, and it caught my eye. Chapter 3 is devoted almost entirely to the LBGTQ+ community and their experiences, which led me to Wendy Wright's door. Wendy is the Director of our library and thanks to her our library has exceptional policies regarding public space and the homeless. Her library is a model of how all public space should be managed: inclusive for everyone.
