Program:

The Northern BC Energy Dialogues project is making its way across northern B.C. to speak with people about how rural B.C. is going to address future energy needs. This is all part of the Accelerating Community Energy Transformation initiative, which is led by researchers from the University of Victoria, University of Northern British Columbia, and the Northern British Columbia Climate Action Network (NorthCAN).

So far, the project has hosted community sessions in Burns Lake, Smithers, and Terrace to hear from the public about their concerns and ideas for local energy solutions in rural communities.

Today we speak with Dr. Kara Shaw is one of the researchers with the Northern BC Energy Dialogues project.
