Canada Day celebrations broke out all over the country yesterday, and here in Northwest B.C. crowds and fireworks gathered to mark Canada’s 157rd birthday.

Although the celebrations were upbeat and lively, it was clear that many use the day to reflect on Canada’s complex and complicated history.
