So Much More Than Children’s Books. with Caroline Bastable, Program Manager of the Smithers Community Services Association (Community Learning Services) and Lois Bernardin, Librarian in Pinawa, Manitoba
We're going to re-visit a literacy initiative that’s getting people outside and active, through a collection of children’s stories. Remember that partnership between the Smithers Community Learning Services and the Northwest Child Development Centre to bring Smithers an international literacy project called StoryWalk? Well, that project has evolved to suit our community, and is becoming a significant monthly activity on many people’s calendar. Better yet, our StoryWalk Smithers Facebook page is being followed closely by a couple of Canadian communities.
I’ve invited Caroline Bastable of the Smithers Community Learning Services and Lois Bernardin, the librarian in Pinawa, Manitoba, to take us on that journey.
