A Madness of Marmots, with Adam Taylor
If you listen to the Cookie Jar regularly, you’ll know how smitten I am with anything in the animal kingdom. Well, I think I just discovered the most ridiculously cute animal in the kingdom—the Vancouver Island marmot. I mean, what’s not to love about a creature that wears rich chocolate brown fur with contrasting white patches on their nose and chin. They’re pretty social, too!
But they’re in trouble. In fact, the Vancouver Island Marmot is Canada's most endangered mammal. Adam Taylor, the Executive Director of the Marmot Recovery Foundation is here to tell us all about it.
