In the spring of 2021, Brooke Baker and Celina Lovisotto co-founded a project in Kingston, Ontario called Bags of Promise. Their intent was to create opportunities for change for youth experiencing homelessness, not just by collecting donations for the Kingston Youth Shelter, but more importantly, by building meaningful relationships between Kingstonites and students attending local colleges and universities, to ensure that no child is left behind. And neither are their belongings.
Unsurprisingly, Celina and Brooke have been nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.
