Elijah Larsen | Don't you feel better hearing Carolyn's excitement for fibre arts? Me too! |
Carolyn Barnett is a member of the Kingston Fibre Artists. Located in Portsmouth Village, a small community on the waterfront in Kingston, Ontario, Carolyn specializes in Knit Artwear and Felted Wearables. She combines classic simplicity and contemporary funkiness, creating designs for ages 8 weeks to 80+ years. I spoke with Carolyn in 2015 because she was using her bicycle to turn wool into felting. This time I wanted to hear about her involvement in theatre and commercial productions. Carolyn’s got one of the coolest resumes around. She’s made garments for such productions as The Who's 'Tommy' and the movie Robocop. Cool, no?
