Carla Lewis lives on the east end of Wet’suwet’en traditional territory in Burns Lake, BC. She's Gitdimt’en clan of the Wet'suwet'en Nation, with roots that extend back to the House of Spookw in the Gitxsan Nation. Carla is the Owner-operator at Yintah Consulting, an Applied Anthropologist at Crossroads Cultural Resource Management in Smithers, and an extraordinary photographer at Carla Lewis Photography. She also holds the position of Traditional Wellness Specialist at the First Nations Health Authority and is a director at the First Peoples Cultural Council. She’s also a way cool dude.
I recently attended a virtual workshop she offered, walking us through her passive solar greenhouse. Every time she posts an image or a suggestion for growing food on Facebook or Instagram, she makes me hungry for local food!
