The average Canadian prides themselves on understanding what constitutes a healthy meal. But the statistics suggest otherwise, particularly when it comes to feeding school-aged children. The reality is that eating well is complicated.
The Coalition for Healthy School Food is a Canadian network of over 170 non-profit member organizations calling on the federal government to invest in a healthy, universal school food program. Samantha Gambling is the Project Coordinator of the BC Chapter of the Coalition for Healthy School Food, and one of many people to reignite my love of eating! Looks like we’re upping our cookie game.
This episode was requested by one of our listeners and is particularly appropriate with the current state of emergency in BC and concerns over food security.
