Nathan Cullen | His thoughts on Delgamuukw, and on how the Gitzsan and Wit'suwit'en have left an invaluable legacy on a national scale. This legacy was celebrated at a Laksilyu feast on Sunday, nineteen years after the fact. Nathan was an honoured guest at the feast. |
Today, several stories for you. The first involves the recent Christmas dinner, hosted by the Moricetown Band Council and the Health Centre. Lucy Gagnon will explain why it matters to have band council members and staff go to all this trouble on behalf of their members.
Then, an interview I did with Babette, the owner and operator at Riverstone Holistic Day Spa. Yep, we have a spa in Moricetown!
For our musical segment, I have a festive surprise for you: Diane Mattson of the Kyah Wiget Education Society has been teaching some of our students how to play violin this fall. To encourage these students, Diane brought some of her musical friends to the school to play a few Christmas songs in a four-piece string quartet. It’s quirky and a whole lot of fun.
And finally, our MP for Skeena - Bulkey Valley, Nathan Cullen, and his thoughts on the significance of Delgamuukw.
