Gender Queer Kids and Transitioning, part two
In the first half of this conversation, Regan Polgar and I explored what it means to be gender queer and some of the complications—social, emotional and medical—that accompany being gender queer, particularly around transitioning. In this episode, we want to address the political complications, and what we’re seeing in the media. Regan brings a perspective and a passion to this conversation that her child, Laszlo, can’t always express. It’s heartening to hear someone with this level of dedication, this ability to be the kind of ally that all gender queer people need us to be if they’re going to contribute to society and feel safe and confirmed in who they are.
